Abstract
An important aspect of the successful implementation of large information systems (such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems) is trust. These implementations impact the legitimate interests of many groups of stakeholders, and trust is a critical factor for success. Trust in the project is contingent upon many factors, is likely to vary over time and should not be taken for granted. Previous studies have identified the relationship between trust and project outcomes and suggested trust-building strategies but have largely ignored the dynamic quality of trust relations through the life of a major project and the complex demands of managing those fluctuations. We investigate evolving trust relationships in a longitudinal case analysis of a large integrated hospital system implementation for the Faroe Islands. ...

Abstract
World literature has introduced the aerodynamic importance of unsteadiness in turbines. In particular, the unsteady static pressure field determines the work of the machine. The unsteadiness can redistribute the total pressure in a cascade with wake interaction. It has been shown that differences in work between wake and free stream can act to rectify the wakes and boost efficiency. ...

Abstract
We conduct an experiment with 74 internal auditors to examine the effects of using the internal audit function as a training ground for future senior managers. Specifically, we investigate internal auditors' willingness to resist current management's aggressive revenue recognition policies, assuming that internal auditors expect to move into senior management positions in the future. We also examine whether increasing the power of the board of directors can reduce threats to internal auditors' objectivity. This is the first study to empirically examine whether training grounds influence internal auditors objectivity ...

Abstract
We evaluated the evolution of vancomycin MICs for Staphylococcus aureus and their relationship with vancomycin use among hospitalized children. S. aureus isolates recovered from sterile sites were prospectively tested for vancomycin susceptibility using the Etest between 1 April 2000 and 31 March 2008 ...

Abstract
Fluoroquinolone resistance in Mycobacterium tuberculosis can be conferred by mutations in gyrA or gyrB. The prevalence of resistance mutations outside the quinolone resistance-determining region (QRDR) of gyrA or gyrB is unclear, since such regions are rarely sequenced. M. tuberculosis isolates from 1,111 patients with newly diagnosed culture-confirmed tuberculosis diagnosed in Tennessee from 2002 to 2009 were screened for phenotypic ofloxacin resistance (>2 ?g/ml). For each resistant isolate, two ofloxacin-susceptible isolates were selected: one with antecedent fluoroquinolone exposure and one without. ...

Abstract
In Finnish, negation is expressed via an auxiliary, and no other verb may occur above this auxiliary in the structure. This gives rise to a problem with respect to the modals of obligation and necessity, which take scope over negation yet appear below it. It is tempting to account for this in terms of LF-movement, but evidence suggests that there are in fact two modal phrases in Finnish, one above negation and the other below it, the higher of which encodes necessity/obligation. ...

Abstract
This paper examines the relief provided by the Home Owners’ Loan Corporation (HOLC), a New Deal program that purchased and refinanced over 1 million distressed residential mortgages. I document that the HOLC paid relatively high prices for its mortgages, most likely in an effort to encourage lender participation and stimulate the housing market. The consequence was that lenders were able to remove poorly performing assets from their balance sheets at attractive prices. While this meant the HOLC’s ability to seek principal reductions was somewhat limited, borrowers still received significant relief through the terms of the HOLC’s more modern and forgiving mortgage contracts. ...

Abstract
The staggering mobile growth is shaping to be the biggest shift in technology since the advent of the Internet, paving the way for unprecedented and yet to be thought of video services and applications. The proliferation of these mobile devices and applications, however, requires new paradigms to satisfy the increasing demands for capacity and energy, and achieve a good video quality. In this paper, we propose a video quality-based framework for spectrum and energy efficient mobile association and resource allocation in heterogeneous wireless networks. The basic tenets of the framework are (1) two novel performance metrics ...

Abstract
A relatively simple theory of annular laminar film condensation in microchannels, based on the Nusselt approximations for the condensate film and a theoretically based approximation for the vapor shear stress, has no empirical input and gives the local heat transfer coefficient and local quality for given vapor mass flux and vapor–surface temperature difference distribution along the channel. As well as streamwise vapor shear stress and gravity, the theory includes transverse (to the flow direction) surface tension-driven motion of the condensate film and gives a differential equation for the local (transverse and streamwise) condensate film thickness. ...

Abstract
Organizational scholars concur that supportive work relationships can attach employees to their workplace and improve the quality of organizational life, but they lack insights into how or why this occurs. Moreover, models of social support focus on what relationships provide without considering the fit between what people need and receive from their work relationships. Addressing these limitations, we developed and tested a theoretical model of relational attachment at work using a complementary fit perspective. After validating measures, we tested, extended, and replicated our model in three field studies. Results revealed that employees became more attached to their organization and experienced more beneficial outcomes when they had stronger psychological attachment to others at work. This relational attachment was not driven by general social support, but, rather, by “relational needs fit,” which reflects employees’ experience of having their needs met by their work relationships. However, receiving more personal support than what was wanted or needed intruded into employees’ privacy boundaries and created a “too close for comfort” reaction whereby they pulled back from their work relationships. This “too much of a good thing” finding indicates that, while positive relationships at work are effective, social support should be tailored to individuals’ needs. ...

Abstract
New ventures often innovate by building on the technology of incumbent firms. The resulting technological links that form between new ventures and incumbents can open up valuable collaborative opportunities between them. Nonetheless, because these technological links also increase incumbents’ abilities to misappropriate the knowledge of new ventures ...

Abstract
How do analysts make decisions about which firms to cover? Previous research has not considered how such decisions can be influenced by cultural understandings about appropriate forms of corporate governance. Drawing upon the institutional logics perspective, we propose that analyst firms’ home-country institutional logics of corporate governance can shape analyst perception of coverage risks for family firms. Specifically ...

Abstract
Joint optimal resource allocation and probabilistic caching design is conceived for device-to-device (D2D) communications in a heterogeneous wireless network (HetNet) relying on full-duplex (FD) relays. In particular, popular contents can be cached at user devices and at relays that are located close to users. A user may request the contents of interest from another user via D2D communications and also from a nearby relay equipped with FD radios. ...
