Abstract |
It is well-established that properly tuned elastic elements can make robotic actuators more energy-efficient, especially in cyclic tasks. Considering a drive train topology, two important subcategories of elastic actuators are series elastic actuation (SEA) and parallel elastic actuation (PEA).
