Abstract |
Focuses on the role of the mental health nurse in facilitation groups in the acute care treatment setting. Five phases necessary for an effective group session are presented as a guiding framework. Phase one is preparation before the group starts; phases two through four, orientation, working, and wrap-up, involve the group session itself; phase five consists of post-session processing by the group leaders.
